The Green Boots Cave

The cave where Green Boots was found even became known as "Green Boots Cave," and climbers would often use it as a resting spot to change oxygen supplies.

  2. At an altitude of 27,887 feet (~8,500 meters) [1]
  3. In the "Death Zone" of Mount Everest
  4. Approximately 350 meters below the summit [2]
  5. Below the infamous "First Step" on the climbing route [3]
  6. The cave contains discarded oxygen bottles
